Nicholas and Dr Ihunia Health and Hope Charity Foundation Charity Visit to Ndi Owerre Umuezegwu Mbomuzo, South Eastern Nigeria
On September 21, 2025, Nicholas & Dr. Ihunia Health and Hope Charity Foundation, in partnership with UNICEK Hope for Africa Foundation, embarked on a compassionate outreach mission to Ndi Owerre Umuezegwu Mbomuzo in Ihitte Uboma Local Government Area, Imo State, Nigeria. The visit was driven by a shared commitment to uplift lives, support vulnerable residents, and strengthen community bonds.
Giving Hope through Food Support
The outreach kicked off with a heartfelt door-to-door distribution of essential food items, including rice, cooking oil, and sachet tomatoes. Each package was meant to provide not only sustenance but also a reminder that no one is forgotten.
Community members welcomed the team with overwhelming gratitude, offering prayers and blessings. Their emotional responses echoed the impact of simple acts of kindness.
Health Assistance: Restoring Dignity and Relief
Recognizing the challenges of accessing affordable healthcare in rural communities, the foundation also paid hospital bills for selected patients who could not afford treatment. In addition, free basic medical checks including temperature and blood pressure screenings were carried out, with free medication provided where needed. This gesture reinforced the foundation’s core belief: healthcare is not a privilege but a human right.
Celebrating Culture and Togetherness
To conclude the day, a colorful community mini-festival was organized. The community square came alive with traditional music, cultural dances, comedy, and youth performances. Delicious meals were served, and fun competitions including a dance contest brought everyone together in a spirit of unity. Winners received special gifts from sponsors, adding joy and excitement to the celebration
